Research Medical Library<\/strong><\/h1>

The Library holds the richest collection of medical literature in North-eastern Bulgaria comprising of more than 160,000 volumes of books, research monographs, reference books, textbooks and journals.<\/p>

Our mission is to provide information, resources and services in support of the educational programs and scientific research at the Medical University of Varna.<\/p>

The central library is located in the main building of the University \u2013 the Rectorate building. The library has branches and\/or electronic reading rooms in the faculties of pharmacy and dental medicine, in the Medical College, at St. Marina University Hospital, as well as affiliates at the University\u2019s affiliates in Veliko Tarnovo, Sliven and Shumen.<\/p>

The electronic on-line library catalogue is accessible throughout the university computer network and within all library branches and affiliates. Library\u2019s collections and archives are in the fields of medicine, natural sciences, public health, dental medicine, pharmacy, healthcare management and marketing, etc., in Bulgarian and foreign languages. The electronic resources of the library maintain scientific databases, platforms with interactive textbooks and atlases, digital collections of books and monographs.<\/p>

The Library provides subscription or temporary access to leading academic databases and search engines such as AccessMedicine, MEDLINE Complete, Springer, EBSCO Discovery Service, Oxford Journals Collection, Taylor and Francis Collections, Thieme, ClinicalKey, etc. Databases such as Web of Knowledge, ScienceDirect, Scopus, and InCites are with licensed online access funded by the Ministry of Education and Science. They provide both bibliographic-reference information and full-text articles published in peer-reviewed research journals and collections.<\/p>

Databases can be used free of charge and through a registered remote access from home computers and mobile devices.<\/p>

The Library team provides reports and systematic reviews for citations and Impact factor, consultations on publishing in Bulgarian and foreign journals, assisted search of scientific publications from subscribed full-text databases and other specialized sources of scientific information.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>
