Elsevier Publishing Company provides open access to the prestigious group of medical journals The Lancet until August 6, 2021. Open access is available through the ScienceDirect database at http://bit.ly/SD_TheLancet.

The Lancet is an independent, international general medical journal founded in 1823 and developed as a group of journals in different areas such as: Health for children and adolescents, Diabetes and endocrinology, Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Haematology, HIV, Psychiatry, Respiratory medicine, Rheumatology.

Since its first weekly issue (October 5, 1823), the journal has strived to make science widely available so that medicine can serve and transform society, and positively impact the lives of people.
